About Jim Lees Wildc.a.t
WildC.A.T.S came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by Beam Software. It was part of that wave of licensed comic book games on the system, trying to capture the team's vibe in a side scrolling format. You got a lot of these action platformers back then, each one hoping to stand out with its own gimmick.
You control different members of the team, switching between them to use their unique powers. The main goal is to fight through levels, clearing out enemies and defeating bosses. Key mechanics include the character swap system, which lets you tackle obstacles differently; screen by screen exploration, where you methodically clear each area before moving on; and finding keys or switches to progress. The pacing can feel deliberate, and the difficulty is noticeable, especially during some of the boss encounters. Playing it feels like managing a small, specialized squad in a straightforward brawler.
