Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 2 is that classic SNES baseball game where everything just feels a little more polished than the first one. The pitching mechanics are smoother, the fielding doesn’t trip you up as much, and the batters actually react like they’ve seen a fastball before. It’s still got that same cartoony charm, but with just enough tweaks to make it feel like a proper sequel.
First thing you’ll notice? The roster’s way better—more teams, more players, and way fewer weird glitches where the shortstop forgets how to throw. And if you’re into the career mode, this one actually lets you build up your guy without feeling like you’re grinding forever. It’s not perfect, but for a mid-90s baseball sim, it holds up way better than it has any right to.
Also, the home run animations are still stupidly satisfying. You’ll know exactly what I mean when you see one.
