About Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius
Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, developed by Konami. It was part of a wave of Japanese shooters on the platform, a time when developers were pushing the hardware with colorful, busy screens. This game is a spin-off of the Gradius series, but it trades the serious sci-fi for a much sillier tone.
You pilot a selection of odd ships, like a penguin or a twin-stick Vic Viper, moving them in any direction to shoot waves of offbeat enemies.
