I first played Jeopardy! on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System back in 1992. It was published by GameTek, and it was one of those games that felt right at home on the SNES, a console full of arcade ports and family-friendly titles. This was a straightforward adaptation of the TV quiz show, no more and no less, and it fit perfectly into that era of couch multiplayer.

You control a cursor to select clues from the familiar board, and your main goal is to outscore your computer or human opponents by the end of the Final Jeopardy round. The core mechanics are answering in the form of a question and wagering on Daily Doubles. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the difficulty largely depends on the category; some questions are surprisingly tough, while others feel more manageable. It feels like a direct, if simple, translation of the show's competitive trivia tension.
