James Bond Jr. on SNES is one of those weird licensed games from the early '90s that somehow got a console release. You play as Bond’s nephew (yep, that’s a thing) running around shooting goons, defusing bombs, and occasionally hopping into a speedboat or plane for some clunky vehicle sections.
The levels are short but punishing—enemies pop up out of nowhere, and the controls feel just stiff enough to make jumps frustrating. Still, there’s something oddly charming about the pixel-art cutscenes and that classic SNES-era spy music. Just don’t expect GoldenEye levels of polish.
If you’re into retro curiosities or grew up with the cartoon, it’s a fun little time capsule. Otherwise, you might want to stick with better Bond games.
