About Jaleco Rally - Big Run - The Supreme 4wd Challenge
Jaleco Rally: Big Run came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, developed and published by Jaleco. It was part of that early wave of SNES racers, arriving before the more famous franchises had fully defined the genre on the console. You got a solid, no frills racing game that focused on a specific kind of challenge.
You control an off road vehicle through a series of point to point stages, racing against a strict timer. The main objective is simply to finish each course before time runs out. Signature mechanics include managing your vehicle's gearbox, manually shifting between low and high ranges to maintain traction on rough terrain, and navigating using a small, scrolling map that shows the winding path ahead. The game is demanding; a single bad landing from a jump can wreck your car, and the clock is always ticking. It feels like a constant battle for control against unpredictable, bumpy tracks.
