Jb The Super Bass (japan) Game

JB The Super Bass is one of those weirdly charming SNES fishing games that somehow makes reeling in virtual fish way more intense than it should be. You pick your lure, cast into these surprisingly detailed pixel-art lakes, and then—here’s the kicker—you actually listen for bites through the controller’s speaker. Yeah, it’s gimmicky, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about jerking the rod when you hear that little blip.
The fish fight back hard, too—some of them drag your line all over the place, and if you’re not careful, they’ll snap it. There’s even a tournament mode where you compete against other anglers, which is way more stressful than I expected from a mid-’90s fishing sim. The whole thing’s in Japanese, but the menus are simple enough to stumble through. Just don’t ask me what half the lures do—I still wing it most of the time.
