J.League Super Soccer '95 is one of those classic SNES sports games that feels rough around the edges now but still has its charm. The pixelated players move in that stiff, old-school way, and the commentary is hilariously basic—just a few Japanese phrases repeated over and over. But there's something satisfying about the simplicity. You pick a J.League team (I always went for Kashima Antlers), and the controls are straightforward: pass, shoot, sprint. No fancy tricks here.
The fields are bright and colorful, and the crowd animations are surprisingly decent for a 16-bit game. It’s not as polished as later soccer titles, but if you’re into retro sports games, it’s a fun little time capsule. Just don’t expect FIFA-level realism.
