About Izzy's Quest For The Olympic Rings (europe)
Izzy's Quest For The Olympic Rings came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by Alex DeMeo. It was one of many platformers on the system, released around the time the 32-bit consoles were starting to appear, and it served as an official tie-in for the upcoming Atlanta games.
You control Izzy, the amorphous mascot of the 1996 Olympics, through a series of themed worlds. Your goal is to recover the five stolen Olympic rings. The game is built on screen by screen exploration, where you jump between platforms and defeat enemies, often by bouncing on them. You collect power-ups, like a temporary star for invincibility, and hunt for keys to unlock new areas. The pacing is methodical, and the difficulty can be unforgiving with precise jumps required.
