Oh man, The Itchy & Scratchy Game on SNES—what a weird little relic of the '90s. You basically play as Scratchy trying to survive Itchy's increasingly ridiculous murder attempts, which feels exactly like watching the cartoon. One minute you're dodging falling anvils, the next you're getting chased by a chainsaw-wielding mouse in a grocery store.
The controls are janky (it is a licensed game, after all), but there's something weirdly charming about how over-the-top violent it is. The pixel art nails the show's art style, and the sound effects—especially Scratchy's scream—are burned into my brain. It's short, chaotic, and exactly what you'd expect from a Simpsons spin-off from 1995.
Definitely more fun with a friend laughing at your failures than playing solo.
