About International Tennis Tour (europe)
International Tennis Tour came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Loriciels. It was one of several sports titles on the system that tried to capture the feel of the real thing without the flash of an arcade port.
You control a single tennis player from an isometric view, moving them around the court to return serves and volley. The main goal is to win tournaments by defeating a series of computer opponents. The game uses a three button system for different shot types; you have a standard shot, a lob, and a slice, each mapped to a specific button. Matches are played in a best of three or five sets format, and the difficulty ramps up noticeably as you progress through the draws. It feels like a deliberate, tactical game where positioning and shot selection matter more than quick reflexes.
