About International Ninja Rabbits
International Ninja Rabbits is a side-scrolling fighting game released in 1991 for the MS-DOS platform. It was developed and published by MicroValue, Ltd. The game presents its action from a side view perspective as the player character moves through a series of scrolling environments.
The player controls Bugs, a rabbit character who must travel across the world to locate and destroy a number of chemical plants, with the objective of preventing environmental pollution. Progression involves moving the character from left to right across the screen. The path is not strictly linear, as the player can choose to navigate sections above ground or opt to go underground in certain areas. The primary gameplay systems involve traversal through these environments and engaging in combat with enemy characters.
Enemies approach from the right side of the screen. The player character can utilize a set of combat moves, including punches, kicks, and attacks with a stick, to defeat these opponents. Enemy characters are capable of fighting back, and successful hits against the player deplete a health meter, which is visually represented as a carrot. When this meter is fully depleted, the player loses a life. The game's structure requires the player to overcome these enemies to reach and complete the objective at each chemical plant.
