About Inazuma Serve Da! Super Beach Volley
I first played Inazuma Serve Da! Super Beach Volley on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System back in 1995. It was published by Virgin Interactive, a company that released a number of sports and action titles for the console. This game arrived during a period when the SNES library was full of varied arcade-style experiences, and this one fit right in as a straightforward sports offering.
You control a team of two volleyball players on a beach court. The main objective is to win matches by outscoring your opponents, either against the computer or a friend. The gameplay involves moving your characters to receive the ball, setting it up for your partner, and then spiking it over the net. A signature mechanic is the special shot, which you can charge up for a more powerful, difficult-to-return attack. The game moves at a brisk pace, and while the controls are simple to grasp, timing your blocks and spikes against tougher opponents provides a decent challenge. It feels responsive and quick, making for a fast-paced match that relies on your reflexes.
