About Imperium
I first played Imperium on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System back in 1992. It was published by Vic Tokai, and it fit right in with the kind of exploratory action games the SNES was known for at the time. You don't hear about it as much as some other titles from that era, but it had its own distinct feel.
You control a warrior exploring a large, interconnected world. Your main goal is to find the four pieces of the Triforce, which involves navigating through dungeons and overworld areas screen by screen. Combat is straightforward; you use a sword for close encounters and a bow for hitting enemies from a distance. The game can be quite difficult, with some areas requiring careful timing and pattern recognition to survive. Progress feels deliberate, as you methodically unlock new paths and uncover secrets. It's a game that rewards persistence and careful observation.
