About Illusion Of Time (spain)
Illusion of Time came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Quintet. It was part of that wave of ambitious action-RPGs on the system, games that tried to tell bigger stories with more detailed worlds. You play as a boy named Will, who finds himself on a quest to stop a comet from destroying the Earth.
You guide Will through a world explored screen by screen, using a sword for close combat and a boomerang for hitting distant switches or enemies. The main goal involves traveling across the globe, delving into dungeons, and collecting magical rings that grant you new abilities. The pacing is deliberate, with puzzles that require you to manipulate the environment, and the difficulty can be unforgiving in some of the later areas. Playing it feels like slowly unraveling a long and mysterious journey.
