Illusion of Time came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Quintet. It was part of that wave of action RPGs on the system that focused more on a single, continuous story than on building a party of characters. You play as a young boy named Will, who starts his adventure after a meteorite crashes near his quiet European village.

You control Will from an overhead perspective, exploring the world screen by screen. Your main goal is to gather the scattered parts of a magical stone to prevent a comet from destroying the planet. You use a sword for close combat and a boomerang for hitting enemies and switches from a distance. The game involves a lot of dungeon delving, where you solve environmental puzzles by pushing blocks and finding hidden passages.
