About Hook (beta)
I remember picking up Hook for the Super Nintendo back in 1992. It was published by Sony Imagesoft, and like a lot of games from that time, it was an adaptation of a movie. You don't see many licensed games hold up, but this one had its own ideas.
You play as an older Peter Banning, who becomes Peter Pan again. The goal is straightforward: rescue your children from Captain Hook. You move screen by screen through Neverland, fighting pirates with a sword and later a bow. You also collect fairy dust to fly for short bursts, which changes how you navigate the levels. The game moves at a steady pace, though some enemy patterns can be tricky to learn. It feels like a solid, hands-on adventure where you are always doing something, whether it's clashing swords or leaping between platforms.
