Playing Home Alone on SNES is like stepping right into that chaotic Christmas from the movie—except now you’re the one flinging paint cans at Harry and Marv. The pixelated McCallister house feels weirdly cozy, and the Wet Bandits look just as goofy as you remember, stumbling into your traps.
At first, I kept getting caught because I didn’t realize you have to lure them into the right spots—like, why would Marv walk into a room full of ornaments? But once you figure out their dumb AI patterns, it’s hilarious watching them faceplant into your setups. The basement level with the furnace still gives me stress, though.
It’s not some deep strategy game, but there’s something satisfying about nailing a perfect trap sequence. And yeah, the music is pure 90s cheese in the best way. If you loved the movie or just enjoy messing with cartoonish bad guys, this one’s a nostalgia trip worth taking.
