So Home Alone 2 on SNES is basically Kevin McCallister’s chaotic New York vacation gone wrong—again. You start off checking into this fancy hotel (kid’s got guts), but then things spiral fast. The staff realizes he’s using stolen credit cards, so now you’re dodging bellhops and maids while Harry and Marv show up to make life even harder. Classic.

It’s a side-scroller where you jump over obstacles and chuck stuff at enemies—snowballs, paint cans, even marbles. The first time I played, I wasted all my good weapons early and got wrecked by Marv in like two minutes. Pro tip: save the paint cans for the burglars, trust me.

You get three lives, and losing them all sends you back to the start. The levels are short but brutal if you’re not careful. The hotel’s actually kinda fun to explore, though—hidden items everywhere if you look behind furniture. Just don’t get cornered by the staff. They move weirdly fast for people in suits.

It’s not the deepest game, but if you love the movie or just want to relive that ‘90s licensed-game chaos, it’s a weird little time capsule.
