Haisei Mahjong - Ryouga (japan) Game

Haisei Mahjong - Ryouga is one of those deep-cut SNES mahjong games that never made it outside Japan, which is a shame because it’s got this weirdly satisfying vibe. The tiles have that classic, slightly chunky 16-bit look, and the AI opponents actually put up a decent fight—none of that "let the player win" nonsense. First time I booted it up, I just messed around with the solo mode for a while, trying to remember how the heck you even form a winning hand in riichi mahjong.
There’s something oddly relaxing about the background music too, like you’re in some tiny Tokyo parlour at 2 AM. If you’re into retro mahjong sims, this one’s worth digging up, even if you have to squint at the kanji a bit.
