So, The Great Circus Mystery is this weirdly charming SNES platformer where Mickey and Minnie team up to figure out why Baron Pete decided to wreck their circus. You switch between them on the fly—Mickey’s a bit stronger, Minnie’s quicker—and honestly, I always ended up sticking with Minnie because her double jump just feels better when you’re dodging clowns (yes, evil clowns) or hopping across spinning plates.

The levels are these bright, cartoony circus tents and carnival setups, but Pete’s goons turn everything into obstacle courses. You’ll toss apples at enemies, ride unicycles through loops, and occasionally get launched out of cannons (because why not?). It’s not super hard, but some of the later stages get sneaky with hidden traps. Also, the music’s weirdly catchy—I still hum the big top theme sometimes.

It’s one of those games where you can tell the devs had fun with it. Like, at one point you’re bouncing on trampolines while avoiding falling anvils, and it shouldn’t work, but it does.
