About Great Battle Iv, The (japan)
The Great Battle IV came out in 1994 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, published by Banpresto. It was the fourth game in a Japanese-exclusive crossover series that mashed up characters from different franchises, and it arrived during a time when the SNES library was full of inventive action titles.
You control a character from a top-down perspective, running and gunning through a series of themed stages. Your main goal is to fight through waves of enemies and defeat the boss waiting at the end of each level. The gameplay focuses on screen-by-screen progression, where you clear all the foes in one area before moving forward.
