Ever wanted to see Goofy as a pirate? Yeah, me neither—until I stumbled on this weird little SNES gem. It’s a side-scroller where you play as Goofy (or Max, if you’re feeling less chaotic) swinging swords, jumping on barrels, and generally bumbling through pirate islands. The controls are… well, Goofy. You’ll trip over your own feet sometimes, but that’s half the charm.
First level throws you right into it—storming a beach, dodging crabs, and figuring out how not to faceplant into every enemy. The art’s got that early ‘90s Disney vibe, all bright colors and exaggerated animations. And the music? Surprisingly catchy for something so silly. It’s not gonna dethrone Donkey Kong Country, but it’s way more fun than it has any right to be.
Honestly, I only tried it because the title made me laugh. Turns out, it’s a solid afternoon time-waster if you’re into goofy (pun intended) platformers. Just don’t expect deep lore or precision controls.
