Go Go Ackman on SNES is one of those weird, charming platformers that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame, because it’s got this weirdly fun energy. You play as Ackman, a little demon kid who’s basically a chaotic gremlin with wings, bouncing around levels, stealing souls, and occasionally turning into a giant monster to wreck everything. The controls are a little floaty at first, but once you get used to his jumps, it feels surprisingly smooth.
The art style is pure early '90s anime—big, goofy sprites, bright colors, and enemies that look like they wandered out of a Saturday morning cartoon. Some of the platforming gets tricky (watch out for those disappearing blocks), but it never feels unfair. And that soundtrack? Cheesy synth-rock that somehow fits perfectly.
If you’re into obscure retro games with personality, this one’s a blast. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand.
