About Go Go Ackman 2
Go Go Ackman 2 came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, developed by Banpresto. It was part of that later wave of SNES games, arriving when the 16-bit era was well established. The game is based on a manga by Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, which gives its world a familiar, cartoonish look.
You control Ackman, a demon boy whose job is to hunt angels. The main goal is to fight through a series of side-scrolling stages, defeating angels and collecting the souls they drop. Your primary weapon is a sword for close combat, and you also have a screen-clearing bomb attack that is limited by a stock you manage. The levels are designed screen by screen; you clear all the enemies in one area to proceed to the next. The pacing is fast, and the game can be quite difficult, with aggressive enemies and tricky platforming sections. Playing it feels like a frantic scramble through a chaotic cartoon world.
