About Ghoul Patrol (europe)
Ghoul Patrol came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, published by JVC. It was a follow up to Zombies Ate My Neighbors, arriving a couple of years later in that same era of colorful, action focused SNES games.
You control either Zeke or Julie, running through levels screen by screen to wipe out all the monsters before you can proceed. Your main goal is to stop the ghoul invasion by clearing each stage of enemies, using a starting pistol that you can swap for more powerful weapons like a bow or a flamethrower found in the environment. The game is known for its fast pace and considerable difficulty, with enemies swarming from all directions. Navigating the levels and managing your limited ammunition against constant threats makes for a tense experience. It feels frantic and challenging from the very first level.
