About Ghost Chaser Densei
I first played Ghost Chaser Densei on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994. It was developed by WinkySoft, a company that made a few other action games for the system. This was during a time when the SNES library was full of side scrolling beat 'em ups, and this game fit right into that familiar category.
You control a young hero named Rai, who fights through urban and industrial stages. Your main goal is to defeat the evil organization that has unleashed monsters across the city. The combat is straightforward; you punch and kick your way through groups of enemies. A key mechanic is the ability to call upon powerful animal spirits for special attacks, which you collect as you progress. The game is structured screen by screen, clearing all enemies before you can move forward. It is a challenging game, with aggressive enemies and limited continues.
