About George Foreman's Ko Boxing (rev A)
George Foreman's KO Boxing came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was part of that wave of sports games trying to capture the feel of the ring on a 16-bit console, a straightforward boxing title without a lot of the frills you see now.
You control a boxer working through the ranks, aiming to become the champion. The view is from behind your fighter, and you use the buttons to throw jabs, hooks, and uppercuts. You have to manage your stamina; swinging wildly leaves you exhausted and open. Blocking and dodging are just as important as attacking. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and the opponents get noticeably tougher as you progress. Landing a clean combination that sends the other boxer to the canvas feels solid and satisfying.
