Okay, so Firemen is this weirdly intense SNES game where you play as two firefighters trying to save people from a burning skyscraper. It sounds straightforward, but the fires are relentless—like, you’ll be hosing down flames one second, then suddenly the ceiling collapses or a gas pipe explodes. There’s even these ridiculous "boss fires" that feel like fighting a dragon made of pure napalm.
You control both firefighters at once (or play co-op), which is chaotic but kind of brilliant—one guy can carry victims while the other clears a path. The pixel art is surprisingly grim for a '90s game, with people screaming in the background and smoke filling the halls. Not gonna lie, the controls take some getting used to, but once it clicks, you feel like a total hero… or a total failure when you accidentally spray a civilian instead of the fire. No pressure.
It’s one of those games that makes you appreciate how terrifying real firefighting must be. Also, good luck finding a copy—this thing’s rare as heck.
