About Fire Striker
Fire Striker came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Axes Art Amuse and published by SETA. It was one of those later SNES titles that tried something a little different with the hardware, blending genres in a way that wasn't very common at the time.
You control a character who rides a small hovering platform, moving screen by screen through top-down levels. Your main goal is to defeat enemies and bosses to progress, using a ball that you bounce off walls and obstacles. The core mechanic is using your shield to angle the ball's trajectory, which becomes the primary method of attack. You also collect power-ups that change the ball's behavior, adding another layer to the combat. The game moves at a quick pace and can be quite challenging, demanding good reflexes and spatial awareness. It feels like a fast-paced, strategic game of pinball mixed with an action adventure.
