Final Knockout (japan) Game

Final Knockout (or Boxing Legends of the Ring, depending on where you played it) is one of those SNES boxing games that feels a little rough around the edges but weirdly addictive once you get into it. You pick a fighter—some are faster, some hit harder—and then it's just you, the ring, and a series of increasingly tough opponents.
The controls take a minute to get used to—jabs, hooks, dodges—but once it clicks, you start bobbing and weaving like you're actually in the ring. The sprites are big and chunky, and the punches have this satisfying weight to them. Just don't get cocky—one good counter from the AI and suddenly you're seeing stars.
It's not the deepest boxing sim out there, but there's something about the rhythm of it that keeps you throwing one more match. By the time you reach the final bout, you'll be leaning into every punch.
