About Final Knockout
Final Knockout came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed and published by Opus. It was part of that wave of fighting games on the system, a time when every developer seemed to be trying their hand at the genre. It didn't have the big name recognition of some other titles, but it had its own approach.
You pick a fighter and work your way through a series of one on one matches. The main goal is to win the tournament by defeating every opponent you face. The combat uses a standard setup of punches and kicks, but it also includes special moves you perform with specific joystick motions and button presses. The game is known for its faster pacing compared to some other fighters of the era, and the difficulty ramps up noticeably in the later stages. It feels responsive and direct when you land a good combo.
