Final Knockout on SNES is one of those fighting games that feels like it was made for late-night couch battles with friends. You pick from a roster of over-the-top fighters—my personal favorite was the cyborg wrestler with the ridiculous piledriver—and dive into fast, chaotic matches where button-mashing actually gets you somewhere.
The sprites are chunky and full of personality, and the announcer’s voice cracks every time he yells "KNOCKOUT!" which just adds to the charm. It’s not as technical as Street Fighter, but landing a super move feels brutal, especially when you catch someone mid-jump. Just watch out for the final boss—guy’s cheap as hell.
Still holds up if you’re into that early ‘90s arcade brawler vibe.
