Final Fight Guy came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed and published by Capcom. It was part of that wave of arcade ports that tried to bring the coin-op experience home, though this version was a bit of a curiosity. Instead of the usual three characters, you only got one choice, which set it apart from the original Final Fight on the system.

You control Cody's friend, Guy, as he fights through Metro City to rescue Jessica from the Mad Gear gang. The game plays out screen by screen; you walk to the right, enemies pour in, and you punch and kick them until the area is clear. You can grab enemies, throw them, or use a special attack that damages everyone around you at the cost of some health. There are also weapons like pipes and knives to pick up for a temporary advantage. The pacing is relentless, with very few breaks between enemy waves, and the difficulty can feel punishing if you are not careful with your positioning. Playing it feels like a constant, scrappy brawl where you are always watching for an opening.
