About Fighter's History (beta)
Fighter's History came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed and published by Data East. It was one of many fighting games released in the wake of Street Fighter II's success, trying to capture that same competitive energy on the 16-bit console.
You pick from a roster of international fighters, each with their own special moves, and battle through a series of one-on-one matches. The main goal is to defeat all the other contestants to become the champion. A couple of its notable mechanics are the weak point system, where repeatedly hitting a character's specific glowing spot can stun them, and the ability to perform special moves with classic quarter-circle and charge motions. The pacing is fairly standard for the genre, though the difficulty can spike sharply against certain opponents. It feels like a straightforward, no-frills fighting game from that era, built for quick sessions with a friend.
