Feda - The Emblem Of Justice (japan) (beta) Game

Feda: The Emblem of Justice is one of those hidden SNES gems that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame, because it’s basically Nintendo’s take on Shining Force, but with its own flavor. You’ve got grid-based battles, a ragtag group of rebels, and that classic mid-90s strategy RPG vibe where positioning matters just as much as your sword swings.
First few minutes in, you’re thrown into a rebellion against some corrupt empire (of course), and the sprites are surprisingly detailed for a Super Famicom game. The terrain actually affects movement, and archers can’t just sit back forever—enemies will close the gap fast if you’re not careful. I remember getting wrecked early on because I underestimated how much elevation changes the battle flow.
It got a Saturn remake later, but the SNES version has this rough charm to it. If you’re into tactical RPGs and don’t mind digging up a fan translation, it’s a solid time capsule from when the genre was still figuring itself out.
