Fatal Fury on SNES is one of those classic fighters that just feels right—like slipping into an old pair of sneakers. You pick Terry, Andy, or Joe (or one of the others if you're feeling spicy), and suddenly you're throwing fireballs and dodging uppercuts in that chunky 16-bit style. The controls are tight, and the characters have weight to them—none of that floaty nonsense.
It’s got that arcade vibe where every punch lands with a satisfying thud, and the AI doesn’t pull punches even on normal difficulty. I still remember the first time I fought Geese Howard—dude wrecked me three times before I figured out his patterns. The backgrounds are full of little details too, like crowds cheering or random stuff happening in the distance. Not bad for a Super Nintendo port.
If you’re into retro fighters, this one’s a must. Just don’t blame me when you start muttering "Okay, one more round" at 2 AM.
