About Fifa International Soccer (japan)
I first played FIFA International Soccer on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994, a game published by EA Sports. It was one of the early attempts to bring football to the 16-bit console, arriving before the series became the detailed simulation it is known for today. The game felt like a starting point, a rough sketch of the football world that would later be filled in.
You control a team of eleven players, moving them down the pitch with the goal of scoring more goals than your opponent. The gameplay is built on a few key mechanics: passing the ball between players, making tackles to regain possession, and taking shots on goal. The perspective is isometric, which gives you a wide view of the field but can make judging through-ball distances tricky. Matches move at a brisk pace, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, especially when the computer decides to mount a relentless attack. Despite its simplicity, there's a direct and immediate satisfaction in connecting with a long-range shot that finds the back of the net.
