Exhaust Heat (or F1 ROC if you're in North America) is one of those early '90s SNES racers that somehow nails the feel of Formula 1 without drowning you in realism. The tracks have this slightly exaggerated sense of speed—you'll be wrestling with tight corners at Monaco one minute, then blasting down long straights at Silverstone the next.
What surprised me was how the cars actually handle differently—some understeer like crazy while others feel twitchy at high speed. Took me a few races to stop spinning out at Suzuka's S-curves. The pixelated crowds and sponsor banners give it that classic early F1 vibe, complete with questionable 16-bit engine sounds.
It's not the deepest sim out there, but for quick arcade-style F1 action on the SNES, it holds up better than you'd expect.
