Eurit (Proto) was a 1995 release for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, published by THQ. It arrived late in the console's life, a time when developers were already shifting focus to newer hardware. The game was developed by Radical Entertainment, who ultimately decided not to release it commercially, feeling the SNES market was too mature for it to find an audience; they later created a similar game, Grid Runner, for subsequent consoles.

In Eurit, you control a character in an isometric arena, competing in a multiplayer match that blends capture the flag with a game of tag. Your main objective is to collect flags scattered across the playing field, but there's a central twist: you cannot pick up any flags while you are "it." The player who is "it" must chase and touch an opponent to pass the status onto them, temporarily disabling their ability to score. This creates a frantic back and forth as you dodge the tagged player while trying to secure flags for your team. The pacing is fast and the difficulty comes from managing your positioning and anticipating the movements of others. It feels like a chaotic, strategic playground where roles can reverse in an instant.
