About Estpolis Denki (japan)
Estpolis Denki came out for the Super Nintendo in 1991 from Taito. It was part of that wave of early 90s RPGs on the system, building on the basic structure that was becoming familiar to players at the time.
You control a hero, exploring the world screen by screen and navigating dungeons filled with traps and monsters. Your main goal is to stop the resurrection of an ancient evil. Combat is turn-based, letting you choose attacks, magic, or items for your party. You also solve environmental puzzles to progress, often by finding specific keys or pushing blocks. The pacing is deliberate, and some dungeon sections can be quite challenging. The overall experience feels like a methodical and complete adventure.
