Eek! The Cat on SNES is one of those weird, goofy platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this dopey purple cat who just wants to help people, but the universe keeps throwing ridiculous obstacles at him—like getting launched out of a cannon or dodging falling anvils. The humor’s straight out of the cartoon, and the levels are packed with little visual gags.
Controls are simple—run, jump, and occasionally use items—but the real fun is seeing what absurd situation Eek stumbles into next. Some levels feel a bit clunky by today’s standards, but the charm makes up for it. If you grew up with the show or just love offbeat 90s platformers, this one’s a nostalgia trip worth taking. Just don’t expect it to take itself seriously.
