Dream Maze - The Kigurumi Adventure is one of those weirdly charming SNES games that feels like it fell out of a late-night anime dream. You play as this little guy in a fluffy animal onesie, hopping between these surreal, pastel-colored dreamscapes—some are floating islands, others are candy-coated mazes, and a few look like they were drawn by a kid who just discovered glitter.

At first, it seems like a simple platformer, but then you realize every stage is basically a puzzle where you’re rearranging blocks, flipping switches, or tricking these dopey dream creatures into moving out of your way. The music’s got that SNES synth vibe that somehow makes everything feel both cozy and slightly off-kilter. I got stuck for way too long on this one level with bouncing mushrooms—turns out you’re supposed to let them knock you into the ceiling? Weird, but it works.

It’s not super hard, but there’s something about the way everything wobbles and the way your character’s ears flop when you jump that makes it impossible to put down. If you’ve ever wanted to play a game that feels like being tucked into bed with a fever dream, this is it.
