Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension was released in 1996 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Tose and published by Bandai. It was the last Dragon Ball Z fighting game made for the platform, arriving late in the SNES lifecycle when developers were pushing the hardware's limits.
You control characters like Goku and Vegeta in one-on-one battles. The main objective is to defeat your opponent using a combination of standard attacks, special moves, and screen-filling super attacks. Signature mechanics include charging your ki meter by holding buttons to unleash powerful beams, and a teleportation ability that lets you instantly appear behind your opponent to extend combos or evade attacks.
