Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Leland Interactive and published by Tradewest. It was part of that mid-90s period on the SNES where a lot of beat 'em up series were experimenting with the one-on-one fighting genre popularized by games like Street Fighter II.
You control one of several characters, primarily the Lee brothers Billy and Jimmy, in one-on-one martial arts fights. The main objective is to win a tournament by defeating a series of opponents across different stages. Signature mechanics include building a super meter by landing hits, which lets you unleash a powerful special move, and a grappling system for throws and close-range attacks.
