Double Dragon 5 on SNES is basically a Street Fighter clone with a Double Dragon skin slapped on it. You’ve got your usual six-button setup—light, medium, and heavy punches and kicks—but don’t expect the same tight controls as Capcom’s fighters. The characters throw fireballs and do spinning kicks, but everything feels a little stiff.

There’s this weird "Overkill" system where if you finish an opponent with a specific move, they get a hilariously over-the-top death animation. It’s the kind of thing you’ll try once just to see what happens, then forget about. The Genesis version is even clunkier since it has to work around the three-button controller.

Honestly, it’s not terrible if you’re really into Double Dragon, but there are way better fighting games out there.
