About Dig And Spike Vollyball
Dig and Spike Volleyball came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by TOSE. It was one of the few volleyball games on the system, offering a straightforward sports alternative during a time dominated by platformers and RPGs.
You control a team of six players on an indoor court, or two players in the beach mode. The main goal is to win matches by outscoring the opponent, using standard volleyball actions like serving, setting, and spiking. Two key mechanics are the ability to perform a powerful spike after a good set and a diving dig to save the ball from hitting the floor. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the computer opponents provide a decent challenge, especially on higher difficulty settings. It feels responsive and simple to pick up for a quick match.
