Dario’s Adventure Demo feels like someone dug up a lost SNES prototype—in the best way possible. The pixel art’s got that chunky, colorful charm, and the controls are just snappy enough to make jumping on goomb—er, I mean, whatever these weird mushroom guys are called—actually satisfying.
First level throws you right into it: dodging spikes, collecting coins (or are they gems?), and figuring out which platforms crumble under your feet. The music’s pure 16-bit cheer, the kind that gets stuck in your head after five minutes. It’s short, yeah, but there’s something weirdly addictive about replaying it to shave seconds off your time. Feels like the demo disc you’d beg your parents to buy back in the day.
If you miss that era of platformers where everything tried to murder you in creative ways, this’ll hit the spot.
