Cyber Mario World Demo 1 is this weird little SNES romhack that throws Mario into a neon-drenched cyberpunk city instead of the usual Mushroom Kingdom. The first thing you'll notice is how the classic sprites clash with the glitchy, synthwave-style backgrounds—it's jarring at first, but kinda cool once you get used to it.

You still run and jump like normal, but the levels have these weird digital hazards—pixelated laser grids, disappearing platforms that glitch in and out, and enemies that look like corrupted versions of Goombas. The physics feel a tiny bit off compared to the original SMW, but not in a dealbreaker way. It's short (it is just a demo), but the vibe is so different from anything Nintendo would've made back then.

Definitely more of a novelty than a full game, but worth a look if you're into romhacks with personality.
