Ever played one of those arcade shooters where the enemies have way too much personality? That's Cosmo Gang - The Video on SNES. You're blasting these goofy, big-eyed aliens who look like they crashed a space rave—half of them bounce around like they're on springs, others kamikaze dive at you while grinning. Weirdly charming for a game about space genocide.
The first level lulls you in with cheerful music and simple patterns, then suddenly you're dodging a disco ball of death while three different enemy types swarm from all sides. I lost my first ship to a grinning purple dude who zigzagged like he'd had one too many space sodas. The power-ups help, but good luck grabbing them when the screen's a pixelated fireworks show.
It's got that classic "just one more try" pull—even when you swear the last boss cheated. The soundtrack's pure 90s synth cheese, and honestly? It slaps. You'll hum it after turning the console off.
