Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle is one of those weird little SNES gems that never made it out of Japan—which is a shame, because it’s basically a chaotic, space-themed twist on Puyo Puyo with way more personality. You’ve got these goofy alien creatures (the same ones from Cosmo Gang: The Video, if you remember that arcade shooter) dropping in clusters, and you’re scrambling to match colors while the screen slowly fills up with their big, cartoony faces. The music’s upbeat, the speed ramps up fast, and before long you’re sweating over whether to set up a combo or just survive the next wave. It’s simple, but the charm’s in the details—like how the aliens cheer when you pull off a big chain. Definitely a solid pick if you’re into retro puzzlers with a bit of weirdness.
